I’m not sure if I should feel embarrassed or if it’s a coming of age thing but a lot of my favourite songs are now in commercials for various things from baby food to car insurance and a lot of other naff products!

It kind of belittles the song and if I catch myself from humming along or G-d forbid singing along when in company I have to suddenly stop.

I have decided not to let it worry me any more and sing out with true gusto!

There is something about frying your own fish that is simply satisfying. I coated them in matzo meal and they are now cooling.

It will be fish and chips tonight and I'm very happy.

Why change your VR name? Not just once but multiple times. I’ve been here nearly six years and have kept the same one since creating it, I’m not looking for a medal but come on!

I get that when creating it you suddenly realised that it was the spur of the moment thing and that you didn’t give it much thought so I can understand one change maybe inside the first year.

Or am I missing a bigger picture here? Are you running away from the mess that you left behind under that name, you do realise that your personality will come through again, because that is you. Maybe you want to be rated fairly this time, again I will say that unless you make an honest effort to be respectful (and that’s not stopping who you are) (as I’ve seen that quoted so many times) but you’re ugliness will shine through again. You can still be who you are and remain respectful. Now that would be honest and gain you respect in return.

I have changed my name once on this account and once on my main alt account. I just... felt I wasn't the same person that the name was. When I chose the name for this account, I was 14. I felt that as a 17 year old lass, I wasn't that person, so I changed it. I got another account after I changed this name, and have only recently changed the name for that - because I wasn't the person I was then that I am now.

If that makes sense. :P

I have kept the same name on both my accounts as well :) I did think about changing this one to trin since that is what people have called me forever though. But I didn't. Now the ones that do it and I have them on my friends. I do not re-rate and I have been starting to delete them as well.

My daughter remembered Fathers Day, I’m mean as she always remembers. She landed me a really funny card and added a drawing of me on it which was hilarious. I told her ‘no’ gifts but she still bought me an enormous mug for my coffee with a ‘number one dad’ written on it (should take a pic really as it was very sweet).

Managed a BBQ with some friends as we seemed to have had a break in the weather today and as always these impromptu dates went well. My kid even helped clear up!!

I remember when I was little, making cards for my Dad and drawing pictures of him. I would always write, "World's Greatest Dad!" And one day, one of my pictures of him was published in the Highlights children's magazine :)

A hand drawn gift is always the best! I hope you'll tuck it away for when she is all grown up, long after she has forgotten she drew it for you. Then somday in the future you'll have a shared smile once again at the memory of it. :)

When I first came to this site I was naive to say the least. I've now be here for five (going on six) years and I trusted the wrong people and made a few inappropriate posts, but I learned, and I continue to learn.

I firmly believe that if you're a genuine person then like members will find you and you can slowly learn to trust again. You can bond again and have fun and you harden to the fools and idiots on here to the point where their drama and antics just go over your head and you carry on with all that is positive.

I am grateful to the few that were patient with me and allowed me to find a level that I am comfortable with.

Most of the drama and sensationalism is uncalled for but I will be patient with that till you are ready to grow up but please don't expect me to pander to you now.

I was going to post that I wish I didn't have to deal with any of it- but it's a reality when you're doing what I do, and I enjoy the role because there's far more good than bad.

I have to speak up when members try to spread untruths about the way things work. I feel it's important for statements to be made that put everyone else at ease when such things are going around. Although most know better- some still don't. and when my inbox gets flooded, the easiest route is to make a public entry they can all read... and then it stops the messages.

I am slow to trust people. I've been here four years, and I've only recently started to socialize on here a little.

I always wonder what the drama starters are trying to accomplish. The only thing they can get is attention. They'll not get it from me, either. Stay positive.

I took one for the team and gave in ... yep, I'm booked for Spain at the beginning of September :-p

Right now I'm gonna catch me some rays and tan a little so I won't burn when I'm out there.
